I work for YUKE's, who are most known for developing the WWE Smackdown games. I've also gotten some international recognition for my Proximity strategy game, plus others. I was on NG more in the past, but Clock Crew more now. More games coming to NG soon!

"Excellent movie."

date: June 8, 2005

Lived up to the promises of the trailer, and I was absolutely astonished you got it out this quickly. I wasn't expecting it before Clock Day, and you've got part 2 done already also? Damn!

Loved it, and I couldn't help but crack up when I heard 'Informer' for the first time in almost 15 years.

Author's Response:

Thanks, the movie was actually in production for several months already when I put up the trailer (not consistently working on it, but you know how it goes). I didn't want to put out the trailer until I was sure that 1) I was really going to finish it and 2) I had enough material from the movie to throw an exciting enough trailer together.

A licky boom-boom down. <3

"Dude, that was awesome!"

Get a little better at script writing, acting, and voice work, and then make many many more of these :). It was very entertaining just to see you combining the vector graphics and video.

The style was very unique and well animated, and the humor was perfectly random for my taste. Loved it!

"Extremely good."

I was entertained, and you had some neato effects in the movie. Best Clock movie I've seen in a long time.

When I first saw this on Clockday, I just could not stop laughing. I can't believe I didn't review it yet :(.

Extremely well animated too.

Author's Response:

Thanks Brian. I envy your 1337 actionscripting skillz.

I actually had the same idea, same controls even, but I wouldn't have done it 1/10th as well as you guys have. I absolutely love, and I'm extremely jealous of, the quality of the art in the game. I need to check out what else you've done.

Easy Chess

"Well done..."

...annoyed the hell out of me that it wouldn't let me castle, but then 10 moves later I see the computer do it. And no I didn't move the king or rook at all before I tried the move.

I managed to beat the guy, which means you need to do something to bump up the A.I. because I haven't played in years and I had a 780 (LOW!) rating back when I used to compete (12 years ago?) .

BR III: Gemini

"Even Better..."

submission: BR III: Gemini
date: April 4, 2005

You've made the series even better, but just like I predicted, the name of the game became a problem, because I had no idea what "BR III" was, I just clicked it because I saw it was highlighted, and I try to make sure I check out all the highlighted games.

It wasn't TOO difficult, I was actually able to beat this one, but just hard enough to make it hard to get the top rating. As for the boss, the first part was really quite tough, but the later incarnations were incredibly simple in comparison. Even the final guy shooting a lot of missiles was nothing compared to the bouncing exit with the expanding and shooting spikes in the first guy. I really hated the triangle part, because it was just the same thing over and over for 10 levels. The 5 4 3 2 1 was pretty stupid too.

It's cool to see that Dan is sponsoring non-LOTR games now too. I might have to remember that the next time I talk to him :).

This is the type of thing I'd like to see more often on Newgrounds, these code experiments. People submit their unfinished animations all the time, why not coders submit their little experiments? There should be a category for this, since it's not really a game and probably confuses people.

Oh, and who was the flash code god that couldn't make the dual stream of water? It looks a little difficult, but certainly not undoable.

Author's Response:

the, er, "god" was trying to do it in a much more complicated way than i was. i took teh esay way out, but it still looks good (:

Grave 2

I didn't find the game that fun (I found the Knuckles demo even less so), but you ARE right about how hard it is to get an award on NG nowadays. My first demo (read UNFINISHED GAME! BARELY ANY GAMEPLAY) was on the Top 50 for weeks, and now three years later I'm making games professionally and I'm lucky to get the 3rd place and more than 15,000 views, while a sprite movie released the same day hits the Top 50.

In general, animations seem to do sooo much better than games here, and a good game takes a lot more man hours than a decent animation. I wonder why that's the case?

Oh, I'll give you a 5 and help you try to win an award. It's hard enough to do as it is.

Author's Response:

thanks for seeing it my way. I used to view NG differently, as a place that I could have a chance, not that it's anyones fault. I just wish that games weren't so underrated. Thanks for the help!
